When Fruehauf in Dereham closed in 2006, the Russell Group took advantage of the opportunity to acquire their box trailer assembly equipment and move it to Glasgow.
The plant and equipment purchased gave the group the ability to manufacture box vans to the specification it required to meet its existing customers’ needs, but also complemented the wide range of maintenance services offered by the group, which continues to develop to keep pace with the changing demands of the group and its 3rd party customers.
75,000 square foot workshop
Our extensive 5-bay workshop is equipped with:
- Two 5 Tonne overhead cranes
- 2 height adjustable roof gantries
- Hydraulic hose production area
- Press brake, guillotine, metalworker and rollers
- Product hose test bay
- Tanker pressure test capability
Welding and fabricating
From one-off mock-ups and concept designs to batch productions, fabricated for light or heavy engineering purposes, our bespoke items are precision engineered and produced to the highest standard.
Specialist repairs are performed by engineers with the appropriate codings and according to the required procedures for the tasks.
Trailer repair
Providing cost-effective repairs to keep your fleet and other assets earning you money.
We can fully refurbish chassis and bodywork to extend the useful working life of your equipment.
Tanker modifications
Perform modifications to tankers in accordance with insurance and legal requirements, adapting equipment as required to provide a practical and compliant solution.
Scully overspill and other Flow monitoring and control equipment fitted and maintained.
Tankers repaired and modified to EN 12972 and manufacturer specifications.
Welds performed to EN 15614, EN 287 and EN 9606 National and European harmonised standards.
Tanker testing conducted under AIB approval and all accredited by British Engineering Service Ltd.

Build of box vans with the option of a hydraulic double deck or auto load/unload Keith walking floor system.
Floor systems can be provided with the maintenance service.
Our advanced and purpose-built workshop facilities can produce customised trailer bodies and add-ons.
Height adjustable gantries and twin cranes enable our team to assemble or modify trailers most efficiently without compromising the high standards that we require of our staff.
We are constantly striving to improve not only the efficiency and safety of our own workshops, but also that of our customers, and the Keith pallet walker system is such an example where it is relatively simple to fit and creates a safe efficient environment for those involved in loading and unloading trailers.
